I wish you could come over so we could swoon over swatches of the NARS Holiday 2011 collection and eat some Trader Joe’s Mango Bars (warm out here in Nor Cal today).

I watched five minutes of American Horror Story last night (bad idea!), and now I’m afraid of strangers with bloody foreheads showing up on my doorstep.

The Breast Cancer Awareness Month Sign Project and Giveaway: Send in Your Sign Today!

Lovies, I have been so touched by your submissions in the The Breast Cancer Awareness Month Sign Project and Giveaway. So many of you have not only shared your awareness signs, but also your personal stories, and it’s been an honor participating with you, as usual.

If you haven’t had a chance to enter yet, you still have time. We’re only half way through October, but don’t delay. Bust out your favorite drawing pens, pencils, paints — heck, maybe even a few lipsticks or liners — and keep those signs coming (to submit it, you can even use your camera phone)!

Just be sure to leave a comment on the original post after you send your sign by email, Twitter, blog posting — you name it — to let me know, and please include a link or other reference to how you sent it, so I’m able to track it down.

MAC Unsung Heroes: Party Line Lipstick

Should you ever find yourself at a loss to locate a fabulous red lipstick for fall, dial 555-HOT-REDS, and kiss your lip grief goodbye.

Listen carefully to the menu because their options have changed. When you get to the part that starts, “If you like MAC Dubonnet but find it a touch too brown,” hit two followed by the pound key.

That should take you directly to today’s MAC Unsung Hero, which, incidentally, happens to be a Party Line ($14.50).

Lipstick, that is. 🙂

Not even hot chai lattes, chubby baby cats in Halloween costumes and dirty/flirty texts from Ryan Gosling can hold a candle to Party Line’s opaque, plummy red.
